CUJAH Conference - Moderating a talk by Charmaine Nelson

On February 16th 2019, I’ll be moderating a talk by Charmaine Nelson where she’ll be presenting her paper “of a remarkably down-cast Countenance, and a black and copper coloured mixt Complexion”: Fugitive Slave Advertisements and/as Portraiture in late Eighteenth- and early Nineteenth-Century Canada.”

This event is hosted by CUJAH (Concordia Undergraduate Journal of Art History), a student run group at Concordia University. These students are making an intentional effort to address the lack of marginalized voices in their Art History department and y’all should come support the inclusion of Black voices in the academy. See you there.
